Emu Oil Gel Caps As A Dietary Supplement for Diabetics

Patricia Clark was diagnosed as having diabetes mellitus as an adult, by accident. Patricia’s daughter, Rachell, age 16, was having trouble reading, so Patricia made an appointment for an eye exam. The optometrist examined her, said her eyes were the worst he had ever seen for a girl her age. He instructed Patricia to have her checked for diabetes.

This reminded Pat of when she was pregnant with her daughter. Her doctor told her that she was borderline diabetic, but that after the baby was born her body would probably regulate itself. When her daughter was born, the pediatrician remarked that the baby was so big and fat (at 9 pounds 12 ?ounces, 23 ?inches long) she would probably be diabetic by the time she was 15. Not knowing what else to do with it, Patricia tucked that little bit of information away in the back of her mind for future reference.

The doctor did diagnose diabetes in her daughter and she was given a Glucometer to check her sugar levels with four or five times a day. On a check up visit, the doctor checked the Glucometer against his to make sure it was set correctly, then took a sample of Patricia’s blood. Normal glucose ranges from 80 to 120, but Patricia’s glucose level was 365. She was diabetic too.

Pat took oral medication from 1988 ?1990 with poor results, tried insulin, went back to pills and then began taking insulin again in 1993. Currently she is taking insulin twice a day, along with a Glucophage pill. She has had a great deal of difficulty in regulating her blood sugar levels because of her eating habits. She felt hungry all the time, and instead of just having a snack, would find herself eating compulsively throughout the day. Patricia tells us that her weight has steadily risen each month since the eighties.

Patricia had been using emu oil for a couple of years for her arthritis when her supplier suggested she try emu oil gel caps as a food supplement to see if it would affect her sugar levels. Patricia was willing to try anything to get her sugar levels in line and has been using the emu oil gel caps now for nearly two months in addition to her regular medication. According to her, she no longer has that "hungry to death" feeling all the time. Her sugar levels have remained steady and not fluctuated the way they did before. Her sugar level is always good every morning; she has a higher energy level and feels better than she has in ages. "I just feel so much better." Patricia "I think it’s helping my skin and my arthritis, too. When it rains, the pain is not as bad. I’d recommend them to anyone with diabetes."
