Your Most Important Decision of 2005

Your Most Important Decision of 2005

In the next couple of weeks, some of us will be thinking about what we really want for our lives in 2005, and some of won't be. Perhaps some of will make the time to write down a New Year's resolution.

Your most important decision of 2005 will be your first big decision of 2005.

This decision will set the tone for your entire year. This decision will be with you in the coming months. Even in November, you will remember this decision.

Now, we don't always get our New Year's resolutions. For example, I started working for a network marketing company many years ago. At that time, I made my New Year's resolution to become financially independent. I made that resolution three years in a row -- and three years in a row I didn't achieve my goal.

Yet, just by having that resolution, I got introduced to concepts from "Rich Dad, Poor Dad", I got to understand markets through the works of economist Paul Zane Pilzer, and I got mentored by real-estate gurus like Raymond Aaron. Most importantly, I developed the conviction that I would be successful as an entrepreneur.

Though I didn't get my intended result, the resolution I set shaped my actions and created a new possibility for my life.

I'd like to play a game with you, and it's going to take about 10 to 60 seconds, or however long you need... Are you game?

Are you planning to make any changes in your life for 2005? If you "could" change anything in your life, what would it be? Think about this change right now. When you have something specific in mind, move on to the next paragraph.

Did you think about a change that you've never thought about before? If so, just by thinking about it, you've raised the odds of achieving it! :)

If you thought about a change that you've thought about many times before, then I'd like to ask you another question: How committed are you, really, to having this change happen?

If you've discovered that you're not really that committed, then either go back and think about something else, or recommit yourself to this change -- right now!

Something happens in our bodies even when we're just thinking about our goals. Do you feel different now than you did right before you chose this goal about something you'd like to change in your life?

The question is, what are you going to do about it? Are you committed to having this change that you chose during this article, become real for you in 2005? If so, congratulations! If you're not committed, would you like to pick something else? Feel free to do this exercise again, until you find something that you're passionate about and feel 100% committed towards.

All of us here at OrdinaryWords wish you an amazing 2005!
