How to Spend Money Confidently

Do you hate your decisions about how much and when you spend money? Does this stuff spoil your day?

Is this going to spoil your holiday season? It doesn't have to. Everyone deserves a Christmas season filled with love and self-renewal. So here are four simple guidelines you can make to ensure that your spending decisions harmonize completely with your goals and values. Based upon your personality type, you may find some approachs more appealing than others - use whichever attracts you or all of them if you think they'll help.

Approaches to develop clarity around spending decisions:

1. Direct action approach: Create a budget for monthly spending that works within your values and decide to let it guide you.

2. Self trust approach: Make decisions with full awareness that a YES, SPEND decision will result because you trust your own wisdom and a NO, DON’T SPEND decision will result because the purchase is less attractive to you right now than your goals for financial freedom.

3. Growth approach: See each opportunity for making a spending decision as a chance to become even more clear around your goals and values around money - relish them for the growth they provide you.

4. Wealth clarity approach: Create a symbol of clarity (in your inner vision) that you can place above your head (mine is an aquamarine jewel - teardrop cut) and when making a spending decision rise mentally to the symbol to make a clear decision.
