Appreciating our Past

Isn't it funny how most people blame their present circumstances on mistakes made in the past?

It is often easy to look at the past as a series of events that led to sadness, despair and bitter disappointment.
However, it is more healing to learn from the past, appreciate what we have today and plan for a brighter future.

Our past is a series of lessons that advance us to higher levels of living, loving and learning.

Without the past as our teacher, we would be unable to learn valuable lessons about who we are and gain greater insight into our character.

If we didn't encounter difficulties in our life or face adversity once in a while, it would be next to impossible to appreciate the blessings in our lives.

In short, be thankful of your past and of the circumstances that brought you to today. It is often past circumstances that lead us to find our blessings.
