Inner Wisdom Eating
Author: Thomas Herold

What happened to our inner wisdom? Lately, it seems that our inner wisdom as it relates to eating, has been changed to following rules, looking at labels, belief in marketing gimmicks and in following diets.

We are following the dictates of packages instead of our wisdom about the content. We are looking at the outside instead of the inside.

This is not trusting our inner wisdom.

One of the main reasons people are overweight is the fact that they have changed their feelings toward their food and nutrition needs, and only think in terms of what is "right, wrong, good" or "bad."

The more you divide your food, and of course your whole life, into categories of "right" and "wrong," the more you are getting away from yourself. And, the more you get away from yourself the more you lose one of your most important senses - your sense of feeling.

Studies have shown that all industrial countries are having the same problems and that these problems come from losing one's sense of feeling.

More and more feelings are being overridden by rules that you "should" or "have to" follow instead of feeling your own truth and following its guidance.

I am not referring to the basic rules that every culture needs in order to make life and communication possible. I am talking about the rules and beliefs that you follow instead of making choices based on your own experiences and your own research.

What Your Body Tells You:
-------------------------

Diets are something, that especially women, start doing around the age of fourteen or so. They start dieting because their parents or friends do.

However, diets are mental concepts that only fit for the person who is doing the dieting. And, they only work for a certain amount of time. Diets are never for the masses.

A diet should simply be a process that leads a person from unconscious eating to conscious eating.

Unconscious eating is eating in a way that follows what other people say is good for you. It is following what the advertising makes you believe is good for you. And, it's following "the more the better" and "the faster the better" themes.

Conscious eating means eating food that your body likes. It means knowing what food contains in terms of vitamins, etc.

It means knowing how your body functions. It means feeling and knowing when your body is hungry. It means eating at the time you want and not when it "should be."

Inner wisdom eating means that you check in with your body during the day and are aware of what kind of feelings it is producing. And, it is necessary to be relaxed in order to feel what your body is telling you.

The more you feel your body, the more clear signals you will get from it. You will begin moving away from eating that is fixed in time to eating that is based on the signs of your body.

What Your Mind Tells You:
-------------------------

Another goal is to get more and more aware of the situations in which your mind tells you it wants something to eat.

Have you ever felt like eating chocolate, a snack or something else after something in your life went wrong?

Perhaps you remember a time when something happened and you got upset, and you ran to the fridge to get a snack?

What you are doing with this kind of behavior is hiding the process of feeling being upset, and compensating for it by eating. The worst part of this is that now the upset feeling will be stored into your body. Why? Because you have not allowed it to be. You have created a resistance against feeling the feeling. And, you have transformed this resistance into a body resistance in form of fat.

How can you break this destructive cycle? Here are some easy steps that you can follow when you are upset or not in a good mood.

First, allow the feeling, whatever it feels like, to just be. Don't act it out, just feel it. I mean really feel it.

This means feeling it without thinking!

Next, go really deep into the feeling. Let the feeling come to the surface of your being.

Lastly, expand the feeling in your body to all of your body parts. Start to include every part of your body. Feel your arms, your legs, your stomach and so on. You should begin to feel a great sense of relief.

In summary, I want you to remember that eating could be a sacred process. Start to prepare your lunch with time and relaxation. Be with the preparing of the lunch, and don't do anything else. (This includes switching off the television.)

Also when you eat, only eat, don't do anything else. Feel how the food smells, and how it tastes.

After eating, feel how your body feels. Try to find out how each kind of food feels in your body. The more you do this, the more you get a feeling of what is good and what is not good for you. This is inner wisdom eating.

I wish you successful inner wisdom eating!

Introduction: Since 1978, Thomas Herold has been a successful entrepreneur, founding and managing the direction of three international companies. His experience with each of these companies, included marketing self-help programs and services, leading management seminars and personal development training. As such, his interest and expertise in the field of belief management is longstanding.

Thomas draws upon 10 years of experience in belief management as he acted as a trainer delivering success and life enrichment training around the world.

In his role as an international trainer, Thomas came across many people who suffered from problems with weight, as well
as with all kinds of other health issues. His first-hand experience in this arena, helping people conquer their weight and life problems by discovering the power of the mind/body connection, makes Thomas a wonderful source of experiential and practical information.

One of his goals in life is to share with others the power of thinking and perceiving, beyond any indoctrinated model of reality, and to use this power to resolve life's problems, making decisions with greater mental clarity. As part of this goal, he wishes to share the exploration and perception (independent of the physical body) of hidden plans of reality and secret realms of consciousness, that are the keys to living a more satisfying and healthy lifestyle. This includes the sharing of the interactions between conscious phenomena and events in the physical universe.

Thomas's knowledge base is richly broadened by experience in spiritual teaching, marketing, sales and computer technology.

In addition, he has also enjoyed inspirational writing for the last five years.

Thomas's empowering style, along with his wisdom in the area of belief management, make his articles an outstanding
source of wisdom and practicality. He also has a unique ability to see and articulate how the mind, the soul, and the body work together.

Thomas's experience with the human body and how the mind is related to the body began with his own experimentation with diets and experiencing the frustrating results. In his quest for longer-lasting results, he began voraciously reading everything he could get his hands on, discussing topics from weight loss to sugar-free food.

Coupling his personal weight loss experience with his expertise in belief management, he developed an incredible new methodology for successful, sustained weight loss, utilizing key principles in belief management. This methodology is described in a revolutionary new weight management manual called Infinite Weight Wisdom - The Infinite Source for Weight and Life Transformation.

Since the end of 1998 Thomas founded SourceInfinity, The Infinite Source for Weight and Life Transformation, and has
offered his knowledge via the World Wide Web.

SourceInfinity is the international source of information relating to weight and life management, utilizing belief management. One of its primary aims is to teach people to deliberately and efficiently manifest their intended creations, leading them to living a limitless life.
